It’s Election Week!

This week on our Mindset Monday we will be reading and discussing¬†What do You do with a Problem¬†by Kobi Yamada. “A Problem has an Opportunity for Something Good. You just have to Look for it!”

Tuesday is Election Day! Do you know why we vote on a Tuesday in November? Your student will, be sure to ask them if you’re not sure! There is a reason that dates all the way back to 1845 and has to do with 19th century farmers.

We will also be learning about Veterans’ Day this week. This year marks the Centennial Commemoration of the end of World War I

There will be a chicken spaghetti supper for veterans and their families before the game Friday, November 9th in the High School cafeteria beginning at 6:00 pm. There are no division lines when it comes to serving veterans so anyone from Sabine or White Oak is encouraged to come eat and fellowship before kick-off.

Continuing with our Colonial studies we will be reading The Dreadful, Smelly Colonies which takes a look at some of the unpleasant parts of colonial life.
