May Your Days be Merry and Bright!

It is hard to believe that we have almost made it halfway through the school year, but here we are the week before Christmas Break! We still have some academics to take care of this week, so make sure your students are ready to learn each morning when they come through the doors!

This week we have a Reading Common Assessment on Monday! We will also be covering The Battle of Bunker Hill and finishing up the books we’ve been writing for our Pre-K friends. Thursday is the magical day when we will be Sharing the Gift of Reading with our Pre-K class. Once again, I can not say THANK YOU enough to all of our parents who have contributed to this project, your generosity has been amazing!

Our Christmas Party will be Friday, December 20th from 9:00-10:00 in the gym! Parents are welcome to come party with us! You can sign your child out after the party with the homeroom teacher! This will also be an Early Release Day, students will be released @ 12:15

Congratulations to Landon! His Christmas card was chosen to be on the front cover of the district Christmas card!!!

There are some fun themed days planned for next week! Check them out:

  • Monday – Don that Christmas hat.
  • Tuesday – Wear your Pajamas to school. What???
  • Wednesday – Put your feet into the spirit with some Christmas socks.
  • Thursday – Wear your favorite Christmas shirt or Christmas colors.
  • Friday – Come ready to celebrate with your friends at your class party.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

‘Tis the Season to be Jolly

We will continue to write our books for our Pre-K friends this week, many students have begun the illustration process and everyone is excited to share their finished books next week.

JUST A REMINDER: For those who signed up to help with additional items for our Pre-K project, please send items by Wednesday, December 11th!

We will be covering the meeting of the Second Continental Congress and Revolutionary leaders this week as we continue along the path to war.

Our food drive will begin on  Monday, and run through Friday! There will be grade level shopping carts outside the gym for students to drop their food items in! Please help us support this event which will greatly benefit our community.
