Honoring King

This week we will wrap up our study of the Declaration of Independence. Students will be challenged to learn a section from the Declaration of Rights portion;

We will also be learning about Patriots and Loyalists and comparing King George III and George Washington.

Wednesday, January 15th is the birthday of the great Civil Rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., as we learn about him and the impact he made on our nation, students will be asked to make Monday, January 20th a “day on” instead of “a day off” I look forward to hearing all about what they choose to do when we return to school on Tuesday. For more information about this idea, check out the link. https://www.nationalservice.gov/serve-your-community/mlk-day-service

Although there is no snow in our forecast, we are going to have a little winter fun by writing Snowmen alliteration poems this week.

Tuesday is our Library Day!
